Meet Bob: He forgot to fully invest his 401(k)

Meet Bob: He 'forgot' about his 401(k)

Home: Corcoran, MN
Age: 63
401(k) Balance: $300,000

Total Review Cost: 2 hours at $175/hr

Bob has worked for the same company for decades. His  friend has told him for years to go in to review his 401(k). Finally, Bob listened and reached Mullin Wealth Management to have a look at his 401(k).

Bob learned how over 70% of his investment balance had been in a money market fund, earning little interest for years. Bob was told that while he could not make up for those years where he could have potentially made more on his money than a money market rate, it was not too late to invest all of his account balance going forward.

Bob reviewed his options. He also shared that he wanted to retire in less than a year. So he decided to not make any changes.
One year year later Bob came back to Mullin Wealth Management. They reviewed Bobs options, again. Bob decided to rollover his 401(k) to an IRA where he could get professional, ongoing advice.
